Levi’s Bio
Hi my name is Levi. I like in Tucson, AZ and I am 13 years old. In my spare time I like to skateboard and break dance. I am much better at break dancing. I watch people break dance at a studio and learn from them. I hurt myself a lot, but I just keep getting better. My favorite band is the Hollywood Undead because they are a rock band. Rock is my favorite type of music because it is easy to dance to. When I grow up I want to be a professional break-dancer.
HIV first came into my life when I was 5 years old and my mom told me. I didn’t know what it was until I started going to Camp Kindle. It makes me feel different from everyone else. No one knows how I feel except the other campers at camp. I don’t tell any of my friends my secret.
I have been going to camp for the past five summers. My favorite part of camp is talking to everyone about HIV. Everyone at camp is educated and they are mature. We can talk about our issues and no one judges us. I like doing SPEAK OUT at camp. I have never been on a tour, but I want to go in the future.
This is my first year going to Dance Marathon at UCLA. I am excited to see friends from camp and raise money for camp. I want to try to stay up for 26 hours, but I will probably take a nap in between. I can’t wait to dance and break-dance for everyone! My favorite dance move is the windmill because you spin on your back with your feet in the air.
