Irma’s Bio
Hello, my name is Irma and I am from Glendora, CA. I am 15 years old and I like playing basketball. I play for school and my position is wing on the outside. I also like to hang out with my sister, Glorimar. We play volleyball, listen to music, and watch movies. My favorite band is Maroon 5 because I like the songs and Adam Levine. I think he is really cute and I LOVE his new song! When I grow up I want to be a marine biologist because I love the ocean.
HIV first came into my life when I was 8 years old. My mom told me my sister had HIV and I wasn’t sure what it was at the time. It made me feel confused because I didn’t know what it meant. I started going to Camp Kindle and I learned about the disease. It makes me feel weird because someone in my family has it, but I don’t. I wish there was something I could do to help her feel better. I have been going to Camp Kindle for 5 years and my favorite part is campfire. I like it because everyone sits together and sings songs.
This is my third year being involved with Dance Marathon at UCLA. I am excited for dancing and seeing all my friends again. I like seeing the other campers because it’s like a little reunion. I don’t know what my favorite dance move is called.
I am excited to meet everyone in February!
